OpenAI documents a separate prepaid gift purchase, with an option to deliver the claim link directly by email. Eligible recipients can use redeemed credits with supported credit-based features, including Codex when their plan supports it.

Gifting availability varies by account, location, and billing currency. The gift currency must match the recipient’s billing currency. Check the current official instructions before purchasing.

BuildFuel offers instructions and manual records. It does not process checkout, verify provider receipts, redeem gifts, or measure compute usage. “Confirmed” means the creator confirmed receipt.
